EPB-101 is EndoPel’s lead AI-engineered endolysin candidate, designed for the topical treatment of canine pyoderma caused by S. pseudintermedius.
EPB-101 is a formulated biologic that combines multiple AI-engineered chimeric endolysins into a single topical product. Each chimera was computationally designed using our proprietary AI platform and selected for activity against clinical S. pseudintermedius isolates, including methicillin-resistant (MRSP) strains.
By combining several enzymes that attack distinct, conserved bonds in the bacterial cell wall, EPB-101 delivers rapid, species-specific killing while making single-mutation resistance mechanistically implausible — and preserves the beneficial microbiome that broad-spectrum antibiotics destroy.

Our pipeline focuses on topical endolysin formulations targeting the most prevalent bacterial infections in companion animals, with our lead program addressing canine pyoderma caused by S. pseudintermedius.
